Fans of Skyrim on PS3 and Xbox 360 have been waiting to hear more on if the popular RPG could be ported to the new generation of consoles.

Bethesda have already revealed that they have already successfully ported the game to Xbox One and PS4, director Todd Howard revealed the new last year.

It was all part of the development process for Fallout 4 but Howard also told fans not to get too excited as it was just an exercise.

“Don’t get your hopes up yet,” Howard said at the time.

There hasn’t been much mention of the potential project since, although a recent message on social media may hint at more.

Shinobi602 has proven themselves to be a reliable source when it comes to gaming info, they recently shared information on the Battlefield announcement ahead of its official reveal.

His latest tweets may also prove to be something worth taking note of, writing: “Well, quite looking forward to Bethesda’s conference E3.

When someone asked if it had anything to do with Skyrim arriving on PS4 and Xbox One, he added: “Isn’t that a thought…”

It isn’t a well of knowledge but could prove the early indicator that Bethesda’s big “yet” comment last year is set to be confirmed later this year.

It seems likely that Bethesda have at least one big project brewing, they’re hosting their second E3 conference, the first held last year was to announce the surprise 2015 release of Fallout 4.
