XSEED has announced that the WayForward developed action platformer Shantae: Half-Genie Hero will release physically and digitally in North America on May 8.
The publisher also reminds fans that the physical Nintendo Switch release of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero will be available to select retailers throughout North America for $39.99. This “Ultimate” Day One Edition, will contain a 30-song soundtrack on CD, a 100-page art book, which the publisher adding that there’s 96 interior pages plus 4 for the cover, and the extra DLC all included on the game cartridge, ‘Pirate Queen’s Quest’, ‘Costume Mode’, and ‘Friends Mode’.
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero’s newest adventure leads Shantae to even more platforming adventures and environments. Players must transform into a variety of animals to make it through the levels and access new areas.
Friends To The End has Shantae’s friends Sky, Bolo, and Rottytops on a quest where they must find and save her from trouble. This is an all-new storyline with new levels and a new boss encounter. Costume Mode puts Shantae in some new threads with, Ninja Shantae, Beach Shantae, and Officer Shantae.
Additionally, the publisher released a new announcement trailer showing gameplay from the Switch version along with a preview of the included DLC.
The same physical release for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero has already been announced for Europe, but the game’s release date in the region is still set for 2018. You can check out the new trailer below:
