The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is heading to Sprint at the end of this week, While it is not the first carrier to offer the tablet on its network, it hopes to encourage users to join its network or gain second lines, by undercutting AT&T’s $100 price to $50, when bought alongside a newline on a two-year agreement, and with an appropriate data plan.

Using a seven-inch, 1024×600 display, the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 houses a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of expandable storage. Supporting connections over Wi-Fi and Sprint’s 4G LTE network, it also has Bluetooth 3.0, a rear three-megapixel camera, a front-facing 1.3-megapixel webcam, Android 4.2, and a 4,000mAh battery.

Initially, Sprint will be offering the white version in stores and online, but plans to offer a “Midnight Black” model in time for the holidays. Sprint did not reveal how long it will remain at the $50 introductory price after the October 11 launch, but considering the Wi-Fi version sells for $200, it could end up reverting to a similar price in the future, if not higher.
