Samsung Adds New Series 7 Ultra – Revises Series 7 Chronos

Samsung has revealed its new Series 7 Ultra ahead of its official unveiling at CES 2013. The latest Ultrabook from Samsung utilizes aluminum throughout its construction and is being positioned by the Korean company as an ultraportable with multimedia prowess. Underscoring this, the Series 7 Ultra centers on a 13-inch 1080p PLS 10-point multi-touch display with a 1920×1080 resolution and 350nits of brightness.

Its multimedia capabilities are further enhanced by the inclusion of JBL speakers and AMD graphics. Users will have the option of Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processors and up to 256GB of SSD storage. Users looking for connectivity options on the go will be pleased to learn that the Series 7 Ultra can also be optioned with 4G LTE.

Samsung has also revamped its Series 7 Chronos. It is now packaged in a thinner and lighter form factor and also features a full aluminum unibody. Processing power has received an upgrade to quad-core performance that can be matched with up to 16GB of RAM. Storage can be optioned up to 1TB with dedicated graphics with 2GB of VRAM rounding out the 0.82-inch thin package.
