ZTE Grand S II

ZTE first introduced us to its Grand S II at CES earlier this year, revealing a new Android flagship with a 5.5-inch 1080p display and 13-megapixel rear camera. Those are certainly some nice specs, but if a Chinese regulatory filing is accurate, the Grand S II may have an even more impressive feature under its hood.

According to an entry in Chinese regulatory body TENAA’s database, the Grand S II could come to market packing a full 4GB of RAM. That spec is included along with many others that’ve already been confirmed by ZTE, including the aforementioned 5.5-inch display, a quad-core processor and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Many recent smartphones have come to market with 2GB of RAM, and we’ve even seen a couple devices step things up to 3GB. We haven’t yet seen a handset with 4GB of RAM, so this may be the first one to start the trend along with 64 bit OSes.
