Canadian cellular carrier Rogers and its subsidiary, Fido, are reportedly preparing to launch Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus handset next week. The company has yet to formally announce its launch plans, however a leaked screenshot posted on Mobile Syrup suggests the device is slated to arrive on Tuesday.

Competing carriers Bell and Virgin were the first to offer the flagship Android smartphone to Canadian customers. Reasons behind the Rogers delay remain unclear, as the carrier utilizes the same 3G bands as Bell and Virgin.

The device is the first to offer Android 4.0, which is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor. Other hardware features include a 4.65-inch display with 720p resolution, along with a five-megapixel primary camera and 16GB of integrated storage.

Pricing details for the Galaxy Nexus at Rogers and Fido have yet to surface, though the handset fetches $160 with a three-year contract from Bell and Virgin.
