Last week, Ubisoft announced an open beta for the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege scheduled for November 25-29, with the final game coming out a few days later on December 1. But it seems that plans have stalled with the beta due to multiple issues.

The announcement was made on the Ubisoft forums, and the problems with the open beta pointed to connectivity and matchmaking issues across all three platforms. As such, the developers will prioritize these issues and continue to improve the game. For now, the game is still in its closed beta status, so only those who were able to play an early version of the game before the open beta will still be able to play it.

However, Ubisoft isn’t going to throw out the open beta session completely, saying it will postpone the event until a later date. There’s still time before the release next Tuesday, but even that could bring about new problems so close to the final version. Still, the fact that these issues are popping up so close to release doesn’t bode well for the finished game, but these changes could be quickly remedied with a day-one patch.
