Last week UK-based virtual reality (VR) developer nDreams launched a brand new website that teased the imminent arrival of a fresh trailer for its upcoming adventure videogame, The Assembly. Today that trailer has finally arrived, marking the first new footage of the experience to be shown since its E3 2014 reveal. The clip showcases brand new gameplay from the title, which is being rebuilt in Unreal Engine 4 and coming to both the Oculus Rift and Project Morpheus head-mounted displays (HMDs). It’s also been confirmed for the first time that the title will support the HTC Vive.

Clocking in at just under two minutes in length, the trailer, as seen below, takes a look at The Assembly‘s titular, mysterious organisation. Titled ‘Two Perspectives’, it provides an insight into both of the protagonists that players will control from a first-person perspective. The first is Joel Pearson, who himself has been working within The Assembly for some time. The other is Madeleine Stone, who has just signed up to it. Narration hints that Pearson is looking to take action after the organisation goes ‘too far’, potentially creating an epidemic, while Stone is hopeful to use the group to save lives.

As one might expect, it’s not long until the two meet.

Following the launch of its new site, nDreams also pledged to support Valve’s HTC Vive HMD with its titles. As can be clearly seen at the end of this trailer, The Assembly itself will be supporting the device. The developer is yet to provide more details on the support, though has in the past stated that it is aiming to release the title for the launch of both Project Morpheus and the Oculus Rift. With the HTC Vive coming in time for holiday 2015, could the title also be launching around this time?
