The folks running Google’s Project Ara modular smartphone amended some comments made through its Twitter account to say its device in fact did not break apart when dropped.
Earlier in the week, the team said, “No more electropermanent magnets,” via its official Twitter account, followed by the hashtag #FailedTheDropTest.
The implication was that the modular handset broke apart when dropped. It turns out that’s not the case. “BTW #FailedTheDropTest was a joke. Didn’t fail. We have been configuring a new solution. It’s better too. Better camera? On that too. Better battery life? We’re on it,” said Project Ara in follow up Tweets.
The team said it was “working on its humor.”
