Gamasutra reports that Sony has sent a memo out to its developer and publishing partners, letting them know that the PlayStation Store will be back up and running next Tuesday, May 24. The purported memo also provides schedules for how the company plans to deal with the backlog of games, expansions and fixes that have built up since hackers forced the company to take the store and network offline. Sony has neither confirmed nor denied that this memo was sent.

Sony will try and get back on track with several content distributions planned to take place within two weeks of the store’s reopening. On the 24th, the company will push out content originally scheduled for April 26. On the 27th, it will distribute content originally scheduled to be distributed May 3. The following week, it will try and get back to normal with 2 additional distributions.

Sony did not mention any plans to assist or compensate developers who had suffered collateral damage as a result of the store and PlayStation Network closure. It has, however, tried to placate frustrated customers with a special “customer appreciation” program that includes two free games and a movie download.

Customers, will have to wait until the store and network are up and running before they can take advantage.
