PayPal and Discover today announced a new partnership that will enable consumers to make retail purchases with their PayPal account. Discover has agreed to allow PayPal to fund retail purchases through its payment network at millions of stores across the country.
Merchants will not have to upgrade their existing equipment to accept PayPal payments and consumers won’t need anything more than their PayPal account credentials.
The new payment venture is set to launch in April 2013
