Paramount Pictures and producer Graham King are teaming to develop a biopic of the eight-time Grammy-winning pop group The Bee Gees.
Brothers Maurice, Barry and Robin Gibb formed the group in 1958 and rose to prominence in the late 1960s to early 1970s with the rise of disco with hits like Stayin’ Alive, How Deep is Your Love, Jive Talkin’ and You Should Be Dancing. The group sold over 220 million records worldwide.
The studio and King have purchased the life rights to the Gibbs family estate and the music will be featured in the film. King and Paramount previously teamed on this year’s Rocketman.
