OS X 10.7.1 Addresses Wi-Fi and Video Issues

Apple has released OS X 10.7.1, its first major update for Lion. The patch solves a collection of bugs, including reported trouble with Wi-Fi connections. Also fixed are data migration barriers, audio cutting out when using HDMI or optical audio output, and an error which caused computers to become unresponsive when playing video in Safari.

The standard client update is a 79.29MB file, while the server download is 88.26MB. Apple has also, however, released a distinct client update for 2011 Mac minis and MacBook Airs, as well as a server update for the Mini alone. Resolved Air issues include ones with flickering displays, and booting when a MagSafe adapter is connected. For the Mini, Apple has dealt with a glitch that slowed down its SD slot.

The v10.7.1 update is available either through Apple’s website or Lion’s Software Update feature. As of this writing, the OS’ Mac App Store page shows only v10.7 as accessible by new buyers.
