The Vampire Diaries co-creator and The Originals creator Julie Plec are firming up plans for a potential new series set in the same universe and centered around the character of Hope Mikaelson.
Danielle Rose Russell will take on the role of Hope with Matt Davis as Alaric Saltzman and Aria Shahghasemi also returning for the potential new spinoff series. Quincy Fouse, Jenny Boyd and Kaylee Bryant also star as new characters.
The final thirteen-episode season of The Originals has been designed to lead into the potential offshoot revolving around the younger generation Originals.
The new series will be in consideration for the CW’s 2018-19 schedule.
