Electronic Arts is bringing back a familiar franchise: NFL Blitz.
The publisher says it will release a high-definition version of NFL Blitz next January for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game will cost $14.99.
The arcade game features 7-on-7 football with all 32 NFL teams represented. There’s also the Blitz Gauntlet, where players take on every other team as well as a series of fantasy bosses.
NFL Blitz adds online cooperative play as well, along with leaderboards and head-to-head and 2-on-2 Blitz Battles.
Many players likely remember NFL Blitz when it launched in arcades during the late ’90s. The series made its console debut in 1998 for the Nintendo 64 and original PlayStation.
