Logitech‘s MX Master line has been rated by many as the best mice for professional use, from Avid editors to Word writers, they have a large and loyal base of owners. Now Logitech has debuted updated models of the MX Master 2S and MX Anywhere 2S.

MX Anywhere 2S

Logitech MX Master 2S and the Logitech MX Anywhere 2S Updates

First of all Logitech had upgraded the sensor on both of the mice from  from 1,600 DPI to 4,000, which gives you great control. The control difference when compared to past versions really shines on a 4K or 5K screen- but even on a 1080 P screen you can feel the difference. Next on the upgraded list is the battery life. The built-in rechargeable battery has been nearly doubled from 40 days up to 70 days.

Keeping What Was Great – Great!

The two mice are physically the same to the last generation.  The buttons, their layout and the excellent ultra-precise mechanical scroll wheel are just like they were. All the of which can be customized via Logitech Option.

The Logitech MX Master 2S has a speed adaptive scroll wheel that auto-shifts from click-to-click to hyper-fast scroll. It also sports  a thumb wheel, and can customize additional functions with Logitech Options

The Logitech MX Anywhere 2S has a precision wheel, which lets you switch between click-to-click to hyper-fast scrolling.

The Darkfield High Precision tracking even works on glass! Plus they still support  dual connectivity –  Logitech Unifying receiver or Bluetooth.

Colors

This version of the mice have dropped the black/bronze color from the line.  It has been replaced with Graphite (black and gray).  The other two colors are Midnight Teal (blue), and Light Gray. We here at ToT wished Logitech had the color Gold as an option, so you mouse could match all of the colors of the Spotlight Presenter.

Multi Computer Support

You can pair up to three computers  and easily switch between them with the touch of a button. Much nicer and easier to use than the keyboard-video-mouse (KVM) switches of the past.

“One computer used to be enough, but we’ve moved into an era where roughly one in 10 people are working across multiple computers at the same time,” said Anatoliy Polyanker, global portfolio and brand director at Logitech. “Using multiple computers can help you avoid distractions and speed up processor-intensive operations, but working across multiple computers can be a hassle. That’s where Logitech Flow comes in. With Flow and a new MX mouse, you can enhance your productivity — for instance, copying and pasting files from one computer to another — helping you become more precise and focused in the multi-computer world.”

But Logitech has really steps up it muli-device support game with new software- Flow.

Go with the Flow – Software to Bring Joy to a Road Warrior

One of addition to the updated MX line, which is a very happy surprise,  is the Logitech Flow software.  This new software pack  allows you to seamlessly work across computers running different operating systems.  Flow,  allows you can drag the cursor from one screen on one computer to another screen on another desktop seamlessly – even between macs and PCs! You can even copy and paste documents, text, images and other files between computers.  However, you will need to have the Flow software installed on both computers and be on the same network to use it.

The software is also compatible with Logitech M585 Multi-Device and M590 Multi-Device Silent as well as well some keyboards including the K780, K380, K375S.

With Flow enabled, you can just move your cursor to the edge of one screen and control will jump to the other computer. It works with Windows, Mac or a mix of the two. You can even copy and paste documents, text, images and other files between computers. Also, if you have one of Logitech’s multi-device keyboards like the K780, you can use Flow to move the keyboard from computer to computer, too.

The Logitech MX Master 2S are priced at $99.99, and the Logitech MX Anywhere 2S for $79.99.

Two new additional mice that are compatible with Logitech Flow, the Logitech M585 Multi-Device and Logitech M590 Multi-Device Silent, are available for $39.99.
