New Marvel Characters on the Way With Disney Infinity 3.0

Disney Infinity MarvelToday, Disney Interactive debuted their first episode of Disney Infinity Next, showing off some of the brand-new content coming to Disney Infinity 3.0 for the rest of this year, including a new play set for each of the four core brands of the Walt Disney Company; Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars. These new Play Sets will ensure that Disney Infinity 3.0 has the largest collection of content ever released inside a Disney video game.

First up is Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from the world of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia. These new characters from the upcoming movie, plus four new Power Discs, are now available in stores worldwide.

On March 15, the new playset for Disney Infinity 3.0 Marvel Battlegrounds will be released and Disney has confirmed that along with the previously-announced Captain America – The First Avenger, three more characters will be making their way into stores for fans to pick up including Black Panther, The Vision, and Ant-Man. You can check out the new Disney Infinity Marvel characters in the Marvel Battlegrounds launch trailer below and keep your eyes peeled for a new version of Spider-Man in his Black suit that will be released as a standalone figure at a later date.

Featuring a new four-player, arcade brawler style of gameplay, and an original Marvel storyline, Marvel Battlegrounds was developed by United Front Games, in partnership with Avalanche Software. Marvel Battlegrounds is the first Disney Infinity Play Set to feature four-player gameplay taking fans across the Marvel universe with levels including Knowhere and Wakanda. With full compatibility for all Disney Infinity Marvel characters, Marvel Battlegrounds features the widest selection of playable characters of any previous Play Set.

In addition, another Disney Original character, Baloo from The Jungle Book, was also revealed to be released in conjunction with Jon Favreau’s live-action remake set to debut on April 15. Finally the folks at Disney offered a tease for the second installment of Disney Infintiy Next teasing upcoming content for Finding Dory and Alice Through the Looking Glass.
