Gramercy Pictures (via Machinima) has debuted a new London Has Fallen clip, which you can watch below! The film was directed by Babak Najafi from a script by Creighton Rothenberger & Katrin Benedikt and Christian Gudegast and Chad St. John. The action film is set to open in theaters on March 4.
London Has Fallen is the sequel to the worldwide smash hit Olympus Has Fallen and has Gerard Butler returning as Secret Service Agent Mike Banning. Also returning in starring roles for the non-stop, suspenseful action thriller are Aaron Eckhart as U.S. President Benjamin Asher and Morgan Freeman as Allan Trumbull, now the Vice President.
It is now two years later in Washington, D.C., Mike Banning and his wife Leah (Radha Mitchell), their marriage stronger than ever, eagerly await the imminent arrival of their first child. Having remained the Secret Service Agent assigned to Asher, Banning is always on alert. When the British Prime Minster dies unexpectedly, Banning knows it is his duty to prep with Secret Service Director Lynne Jacobs (Angela Bassett) for them to accompany the President to the state funeral at St Paul’s Cathedral in London.
The film is a non-stop, suspenseful action thriller that delivers high-octane excitement through a heightened sense of authenticity. With the timely premise of the British Prime Minister funeral becomes a target of a terrorist organization to destroy some of the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. The only hope of stopping it rests on the shoulders of the President of the United States (Aaron Eckhart) and his formidable Secret Service head (Gerard Butler), and an English MI-6 agent (Charlotte Riley) who rightly trusts no one.
