Sunday is the Superbowl, which means we should see some of the best TV ad and spots of the year. Today, Paramount Pictures has released the ‘Big Game’ spot for The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, which is heading to a theater near you on May 22nd.
The project marks the first 3D computer-animated SpongeBob movie ans is described as a love letter to original creator Steven Hillenburg who passed away last November.
Tim Hill helms the film which boasts not just a strong voice cast including Awkwafina and Reggie Watts, but has songs co-written by pop star legend Cyndi Lauper along with a score by Hans Zimmer.
Paramount Animation, Nickelodeon Movies and United Plankton Pictures will release the film on May 22nd.
