3DS System UpdateNintendo’s handheld just received yet another patch version 10.2.0-28 a couple of hours ago and the developers have also shared details on what issues have been addressed in it.

If you check out the System Menu Update History page on the official website of Nintendo of America you will only see a single lined explanation stating that they have made “further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.”

That does not give anything away. However, since the update was also released in other regions, the Japanese website also had a changelog. It looks pretty similar to this one (thanks to the online translations) but one addition that we found was a reference to hacks.

Apparently, the Nintendo 3DS update 10.2.0-28 has “tweaked the system to block hacks.” No other explanation was given but we are sure this means bad news for the homebrew guys out there.

The aforementioned update follows the version 10.2.0-27 which came in early September with a changelog identical to the one provided by the Nintendo of America website.
