mobsteelSports-focused cable outlet NBCSN will launch “Mobsteel,” a reality series focused on a Detroit custom car shop, Sunday, August 16, at 6 p.m. ET.

The eight-episode series will follow custom-car specialists Adam Genei and his wife Pan Genei and their team (pictured, above) as they restore vehicles, even an old International Harvester Loadstar. Their Mobsteel custom-car shop uses vintage parts and Detroit steel to bring ancient American cars back to life.

The series debuts as NBCSN is focused more intently on motorsports, and will launch following the network’s coverage of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Pure Michigan 400 from Michigan International Speedway. The network’s motorsports coverage totals more than 1,400 programming hours in 2015, including NASCAR, IndyCar, Formula One, Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, Red Bull Global RallyCross and Mecum Auctions.

“We’re excited to add Mobsteel’ to our growing portfolio of automotive and motorsports properties,” said Ron Wechsler, senior vice president of original programming and entertainment, NBC Sports Group, in a statement.
