The action-comedy My Spy starring Dave Bautista has been pulled from its August 23rd release date with plans for Q1 2020 release.

Peter Segal (The Longest Yard) helms the project in which the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star plays a hardened CIA operative who finds himself at the mercy of a precocious 9-year-old girl, having been sent undercover to surveil her family.

STX Films is the distributor and has been trying to find its footing following some major executive departures and the bombing of its potential franchise launcher UglyDolls which has only grossed $20 million at the U.S. box office on a $45 million production budget.
