MTV has renewed “Are You the One” for Season 4, the network announced Wednesday. The series hails from Lighthearted Entertainment, and is exec produced by Rob LaPlante, Jeff Spangler and Scott Jeffress.
The pickup comes one week ahead of the Nov. 18 Season 3 finale, and as the match-making dating series is coming off its highest-rated episode of the current season, hitting a 1.42 in the 12-34 demo, according to Nielsen’s “live plus-3” delayed viewing.
“‘Are You the One’ is an irresistibly juicy and fun exploration of the thin line between love, infatuation and social experiment, and we’re thrilled to see the audience responding to this season’s dialed up romance and drama,” said Lauren Dolgen, exec vice president of reality series development at MTV. “’AYTO’ fans are gonna flip when they see what goes down in the final two episodes of this season, and we can’t wait to bring it back with a new crew of love-seeking singles in season four.”
