MSI Debuts Two New iCore 7 Quadro-Based Workstations

If you have need for a new mobile workstations MSI has two new option you need to see.   MSI Computer’s new GT70 20K and GT60 20J solutions, powered by Nvidia’s Quadro graphics. Both are certified by Adobe Creative Suite 6, Autodesk and SolidWorks, and come packed with Nvidia’s Maximus technology, which enables designers and engineers to perform simultaneous rendering or structural/fluid analysis on the same system.

Both workstations ship with an Intel Core i7-4700MQ processor clocked up to 3.4 GHz, Killer E2200 Ethernet/Bluetooth connectivity, Killer N1202 dual-band Wireless N connectivity, a 720p HD webcam, a 9 cell battery, two Dynaudio Tech speakers and a subwoofer. The laptops also sport a Blu-ray burner, three USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and HDMI 1.4 output. A multi-touch touchpad and SteelSeries Gaming Backlit keyboard.  The boss won’t mind you playing a little BioShock to get the head clear…Right?

The GT70 20K model has a 17.3 inch screen with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, a Nvidia Quadro K3100M GPU, a 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD, and 16 GB of DDR3-1600 memory. This model weighs 8.6 pounds, measures 2.17 inches thin, and costs $2,599.99 USD.

Meanwhile, the GT60 20J model has a 15.6 inch screen with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, a Nvidia Quadro K2100M GPU, a 750 GB 7200 RPM hard drive, and 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 memory. This model weighs a lighter 7.7 pounds, measures 1.77 inches thick, and is priced at $2,009.99.

Inclusion of the Nvidia Quadro GPUs means that these workstations can handle “challenging” professional applications like AutoCad Design Suite, Avid Media Composer, Pinnacle Studio 16, AutoDesk Smoke, Siemens NX, PTC Creo Parametric 2.0 and more. The workstations also rely on MSI’s Cooler Boost 2 Technology that instantly reduces system temperature, keeping things cool during heavy workloads.
