20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment have released a special clip to promote the new raunchy comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, starring Zac Efron (Neighbors, High School Musical), Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect, Into the Woods), Adam DeVine (“Workaholics,” The Final Girls), Aubrey Plaza (Dirty Grandpa, The To-Do List), and Stephen Root (Office Space). In the film, hard-partying brothers Mike (DeVine) and Dave (Efron) place an online ad to find the perfect dates (Kendrick, Plaza) for their sister’s Hawaiian wedding. Hoping for a wild getaway, the boys instead find themselves outsmarted and out-partied by the uncontrollable duo.
TV director Jake Szymanski, best known for his work on “SNL” and “Funny or Die,” directs the comedy from a script by Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien, with Peter Chernin, David Ready, Jenno Topping and Jonathan Levine producing.
Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates opens in theaters on July 8.
