DC Comics and BOOM! Studios have announced an upcoming comic book crossover between the Justice League and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

“DC and BOOM! Studios teaming up on this crossover is a dream come true for fans of Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and the Justice League,” noted senior vice president of DC Entertainment Hank Kanalz in a statement. “Stories like this are a great way to have that ‘what if’ itch scratched, combining favorite characters from different publishers in epic adventures,” he continued.

The series set to be written by Tom Taylor (Injustice: Gods Among Us) and illustrated by Stephen Byrne (Justice League of America: The Ray), will focus on Zack the Black Ranger as he is teleported to the DC Universe according to IGN.

The Justice League lineup will consist of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern John Stewart, The Flash and Cyborg while the Power Rangers will feature Jason the Red Ranger, Trini the Yellow Ranger, Kimberly the Pink Ranger, Billy the Blue Ranger and Tommy as the Green Ranger.

The crossover event kicks off Jan. 11. Afterwards, both the Power Rangers and Justice League will star in their own blockbuster films with Power Rangers releasing on March 24 and Justice League landing on Nov. 17.
