Microsoft has announced a trio of low-cost wired mice for those who wanted more attention to design without having to go wireless. The Express Mouse has a glossy white, egg-shaped design with a unique off-center USB cable to reduce resistance when the mouse is used on the right-hand side. The three-button-plus-scroll design comes in six bright colors and is one of the least expensive mice to use Microsoft’s blue laser to improve tracking.

The Comfort Mouse 3000 and Comfort Mouse 6000 are also wired and use blue laser tracking but focus on different design traits. The 3000 is a simple, three-button mouse designed for ambidextroususe, while the 6000 is a five-button mouse tailored for right-handed use.

All three mice will be available in April at prices of $20 for the Express Mouse and Comfort Mouse 3000, moving up to $30 for the 6000. Only gray and red versions of the Express will ship at first and should be followed by green, pink, and two shades of blue in June.
