Pokken TournamentBraixen, Mewtwo and Garchomp have been revealed as the latest additions to Pokken Tournament’s expanding roster of playable fighters. This trio of characters additions was revealed in the latest issue of CoroCoro Comic (via Gematsu), bringing the game’s current lineup of confirmed fighters to fifteen.

Yet another character is set to be revealed this Friday, January 15, and we know it isn’t one of the three fighters mentioned above, as last week’s tease noted the Pokemon fighter’s Japanese name includes the character “ラ”, which isn’t found in any of the new additions.

Pokken Tournament releases for Wii U on March 18 in Japan and sometime this spring in North America and Europe. While Shadow Mewtwo was unveiled back in November, today’s announcement is specifically in regards to Mewtwo’s standard form. As such, the character will have two playable versions, much like Pikachu and Pikachu Libre.

This year marks the 20th anniversary for the Pokemon franchise, and The Pokemon Company is celebrating in a big way with a Red and Blue New 3DS bundle, Super Bowl commercial and a whole lot more.
