In the land down under McDonald’s is use Snapchat to find new employees.
McDonald’s Australia has recently introduced the so-called “Snaplications”, which require applicants to share a 10-second video of themselves in a McDonald’s uniform over Snapchat. If the HR department really likes your snap, you’ll be contacted to continue with the application process per a report in news.com.au.
“We think this is actually a world first. Snaplications is basically a Snapchat ‘lens’ that gives users the ability to apply for a job — or at least commence that process — by sending a 10-second snap. We’re the largest employer of youth in the country, so we’re trying to look for new and innovative ways to recruit crew people,” claimed Shaun Ruming, the COO of McDonald’s Australia.
