Marvel Reveals Deep Dark Secrets With It’s Original Sin Series

Original SIn 1“Original Sin” kicked off this week with a prelude #0 issue, and Marvel has been teasing tie-ins to the event this week. On Monday, the publisher released a teaser image by “Daredevil” series artist Chris Samnee hinting at a revelation from the character’s very earliest days. Two days later, another teaser followed, by “Amazing Spider-Man” artist Humberto Ramos, echoing back to Spidey’s origins. For each, more details were promises this weekend at the C2E2 convention in Chicago.

The third “Original Sin” tie-in of the week rather strongly suggests that one of the story’s developments will include the revelation that Thor and Loki have a sister — shrouded in silhouette in the illustration by Dale Keown — and from the looks of the teaser, they seem pretty surprised to find out. Marvel promises more details on this and other “Original Sin” tie-ins will come this weekend at C2E2 in Chicago.

“Each ‘Original Sin’ tie-in is a self-contained story that explores how a deep dark secret, unleashed in the aftermath of Uatu’s murder, turns the life of an individual character upside-down,” Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso told CBR News in February. “Each secret from the character’s past will rock them to their core, and have permanent consequences. Characters will be changed. Characters will discover secrets dating back to their very origins that change what they see in the mirror. Characters will learn that their lives and fates overlapped others’ in ways they didn’t know. Characters’ relationships will be forever changed.”

“Original Sin” #1 is scheduled for release on May 7.
