NBC has announced an interesting proposal: In an effort to generate buzz for its freshman programs and high-profile returning comedy dramas, the Peacock has recruited Casey Wilson and Ken Marino of its new comedy “Marry Me” to host the half-hour special “The NBC Primetime Preview Show.”
In addition to “Marry Me,” which premieres Oct. 14, the special will also tease new comedies “Bad Judge” (premieres Oct. 2), “A to Z” (Oct. 2) and dramas “The Mysteries of Laura” (Sept. 17), “Constantine” (Oct. 24) and “State of Affairs” (Nov. 17). Returning series “The Biggest Loser” (Sept. 11), “The Blacklist” (Sept. 22), “The Voice” (Sept. 22), “Chicago Fire” (Sept. 23), “Chicago P.D.” (Sept 24) and “Parenthood” (Sept. 25) will also get screen time.
The special will air across NBC owned and affiliate stations at various time through Oct. 19. It will also be available on NBCUniversal digital platforms and network-owned television stations websites through that time.
“The NBC Primetime Preview Show” is produced by NBC Custom Content Marketing.
