E-on Software has released LumenRT Studio 4, an upgrade of its 3D rendering tool. The software inserts 3D models into natural environments, and exports the results as stills and videos for use in presentations. Users can add animated animals, humans, vegetation, and water, as well as skies and appropriate interior and exterior lighting.
Version 4 introduces integration with Autodesk Revit and Bentley MicroStation, and the ability to import 3D content from all sources. A new animation editor allows making custom animations within the LiveCube, and point, spot, and IES lighting are now supported, along with night skies and moonlighting. Moving vehicles have been added as an object type, and the plant library has been expanded. The software should be better capable of handling large-scale scenery, such as cityscapes.
A single license for LumenRT Studio costs $795. Discounts are available for bulk purchases, and beforehand users can try a free demo version.
