Logitech’s G-series of gaming peripheralhas a new mouse to its arsenal with the G302 Daedalus Prime. This mouse is designed specifically with Multiplayer Online Battle Arena gaming in mind.

The mouse has a fairly straight forward design. It is light, compact and durable, making it perfect for twitchy quick-action gaming. According to Logitech, MOBA games are very tough on peripherals, so they have to be very precisely engineered to help the players succeed. For this very reason, the company used a metal spring under the left and right mouse buttons, which are rated to withstand up to 20 million actuations. The mouse weighs just 127 grams, and that’s including the cable. It is 37 mm tall at its tallest point, 65 mm wide, and 115 mm long.

The G302 Daedalus Prime comes with six buttons, all of which are programmable to execute different actions. One of these buttons is a DPI switcher, which allows you to pick between four different DPI settings ranging from 240 through 4000 DPI. Additionally, the mouse has a polling rate of 1000 Hz, can track at up to three meters per second, and accurately track with up to 20 G’s of acceleration.

Logitech did notsay how long the cable is. From the images they sent to us here at TOT, the cable is not braided, but rather just a standard rubber cable. While some users might prefer to see a braided cable for its looks, the general consensus in the gaming community appears to be that braided cables are inferior due to their tendency to get caught along rough edges, thereby restricting your movement.

Logitech’s MSRP for the G302 Daedalus Prime is $49.99, and it expects the mouse to become widely available within the coming weeks.
