LG today announced that its next flagship device will be called the G2.
Beginning with the G2, LG will no longer include the name “Optimus” with its G Series devices, which represent its top-of-the-line handsets. Further, LG said that its high-end smartphones with 4:3 screens will all be rebranded under the Vu name.
LG is expected to fully reveal the G2 on August 7.
