Legendary jazz musician Dave Brubeck died this morning in a Connecticut hospital. The Chicago Tribune reported that Brubeck was on his was to a regular treatment at his cardiologist when his heart failed while en route.
He became popular in the 1950’s with the advent of the “West Coast ” jazz movement and gave fans such classics as “Take Five” and “Blue Rondo a la Turk”. Mr. Brubeck was one day short of his 92nd birthday.
