James Wolkm, former Lone Star, has joined USA Network’s six-hour political drama series Political Animals from Greg Berlanti and Laurence Mark, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.
Slated to launch this summer, Animals revolves around Elaine Barrish, a divorced former First Lady and current Secretary of State, who is struggling to keep her family together while dealing with conflicts of the State Department.
Wolk will play one of Elaine’s sons, Doug, also serving as her chief of staff.
Berlanti will write and direct the pilot, in addition to executive producing with Mark. Melissa Kellner Berman will co-executive produce.
