Sprint today offered a progress report on its LTE and enhanced 3G deployments. According to Sprint, a total of 150 markets will have LTE coverage in the coming months.
Sprint has already named most of these markets, and 49 of them are already live. It added 36 new markets today to the list of those prepared to receive LTE. Additionally, Sprint has enhanced is CDMA-EVDO 3G network in 70 other markets. Sprint didn’t specify when exactly the markets will receive LTE.
These network improvements are all part of its Network Vision project, which is a multi-year effort to update its network to IP (internet protocol) technology.
