A new Star Trek: The Next Generation miniseries has been announced by IDW Publishing.
Star Trek: The Next Generation – Hive, to be written by show alumni Brannon Braga and Terry Matalas with art by Joe Corroney.
“There’s no easy way to say it… the Borg are back. The cubes, the Queen, Locutus, and their intractable stance on resistance have reared their ugly heads once again to jeopardize the fate of our Galaxy,” said IDW.
“With all evil, though, must come good, and who better to thwart the Borg’s steely agenda than Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise?”
Braga was a producer on TNG and executive producer for Voyager and Enterprise. He also wrote for those series, as well as contributing to the films Generations and First Contact.
Star Trek: The Next Generation – Hive #1 will debut in September, in for the show’s 25th anniversary.
