The upgrade to Anrdoid 4.0 for the HTC Rezound is reportedly ready. On the company’s software upgrade page, HTC confirmed the readiness of the update and enumerated the changes Android 4.0 would bring. Verizon, the main carrier of the handset, has yet to release any information on when users can expect the update to arrive.
For the Rezound, an update to the newest Android will enable access to the Wireless Alerting System on the device. The update will also bring improved data connectivity, device stability, and Mobile Hotspot functionality. Android 4.0 will also add the Caller Name ID application and include an update to the V CAST Media Manager app.
Users will need to be running Android build 2.01.605.11 in order to receive the update, which is said to take about 70 minutes in total. While news on the upgrade is available on HTC’s site, Verizon has not supplied when the upgrade will roll out for all Rezound owners
