Hulu is adding 3 British TV shows this month that have never been seen here.
Misfits, will begin on June 20th, followed by The Booth at the End, July 11th and Whites on July 20th.
Andy Forssell, Hulu’s senior vice-president for content and distribution, admits that most of the Hulu audience has surely not heard of the shows, but says he made the deal because “we know we can help these shows find a larger audience through our recommendation engines.”
He is open to helping keep a critically acclaimed, but low-rated TV show alive by bringing it to Hulu. “We’ve certainly looked at that,” in the past, but it hasn’t happened yet. “That’s a role we could fill,” he says.
