HTC Tiara Windows Phone 8 Mid-Range Cell Heading to Sprint

The HTC Tiara Windows Phone 8 smartphone heading to Sprint has had its official press shot leaked online ahead of its launch. Also confirmed are its mid-range specifications, which first leaked back in February. The device looks much like revised version of its HTC Android-powered stable mate, the HTC One SV, which also features similar specs.

The HTC Tiara is the third Windows Phone 8 handset from the trouble-plagued Taiwanese smartphone maker, and appears to slot in between the lower-end HTC 8S and the slightly higher-end HTC 8X. Like the HTC 8X, it centers on a 4.3-inch WVGA Super LCD2 display, but is equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 instead of the 1.5GHz chip fitted to the 8X. Compared to the HTC 8S, however, it boasts 1GB of RAM against that model’s lesser 512MB of RAM and a dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon S4.

The HTC Tiara is rumored to launch by the end of the month for less than $100 on a two-year plan. Its recent appearance on the FTC website for certification suggests that its launch is imminent.
