Google updated its Google Search app for the iPhone and added several new features.
The most significant improvement is support for Google’s accelerated mobile pages, or AMP. Articles that make use of Google’s AMP technology load much faster than other articles. They are called out by a lightning bolt and are stamped with the AMP signage.
Google says Search on the refreshed iPhone app is much faster, and Search now shows video highlights on Google Now cards for the NBA and NHL.
Google Search is free to download from the iTunes App Store.
