Google has announced that it has expanded click-to-call functionality to include emergency numbers, according to a company’s blog. The feature, which was first used in mobile ads, allows users on mobile devices to quickly call phone numbers that appear in search results.

Users searching for contact information for services such as poison control centers, suicide hotlines, and other emergency numbers will now see links for the numbers that appear in the search results. Clicking on the link will dial the number instantly.

The click-to-call feature is now available on the mobile version of Google’s search site.
