Google has made factory images of Android 4.4.4 available for download from its developer site. The operating system is for Nexus devices only, including the Nexus 4 and 5 smartphones and the Nexus 7 and 10 tablets.
Google has not indicated when it will push the updates out over the air. These updates are for knowledgeable users who can install system updates manually.
Google only recently updated the Nexus devices to Android 4.4.3. Google didn’t immediately say what is new in the minor system jump.
