Google has expanded the security features Google Mobile Management administrators can enforce on corporate iOS devices.
The new tools will let businesses that rely on Google’s device management service to ensure iPhone and iPad users conform to corporate security policies. For example, G Suite admins can now sync managed corporate contacts to iOS devices and revoke access when needed. This is particularly helpful when using global address lists, which are now compatible with the native iOS email, calendar, phone, and contacts apps.
G Suite admins can also now configure Google account on iOS to sync contacts and calendars, manage Safari browser settings, manage photo sharing, and set permissions with respect to screenshots, screen recording, Siri, and Apple Watch.
The new tools are rolling out to all G Suite admin users over the next few weeks.
