Google Debuts Sprayscape VR App

Google has announced Sprayscape, a virtual reality app for Android smartphones.

The app blends the camera and virtual reality. Users tap the capture button and then “spray” what’s around them by moving the camera around within an imaginary 360-degree sphere.

The app, which was developed by Google’s Android Experiments team, relies on the phone’s internal gyroscope to create the images. Once people have captured an image they can then share it via social networks and even view the results in Google Cardboard.

Sprayscape is free to download from the Google Play Store.
