Chris Colfer can now add screenwriter to his very large resume. The 20-year-old just sold a script for a TV pilot.

As for the show, it’s for the Disney Channel, and it’s titled The Little Leftover Witch. The series is based on a kids’ book by Florence Laughlin, about a girl witch who’s adopted by a family of non-witches, reports HR.

Colfer will spend his summer break from Glee doing more than penning the misadventures of magical orphans. There’s that Glee tour to attend to, and another screenwriting project: independent feature Struck By Lightning, which he’s set to write and star in.

The Glee cast is also a start of a writer’s room. Co-star Dianna Agron told Marie Claire that she sold her first screenplay six months before joining the show.
