Gateway has launched a pair of inexpensive notebooks with ten-point multitouch displays, aimed at students and small business users. The smaller LT41P range sports a 10.1-inch 1366×768 display and ships with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 pre-installed, while the NV570P opts for a 15.6-inch HD widescreen version and is available with higher-specification models

Weighing 2.83 pounds, the LT41P measures just over one inch thick, and uses an Intel Celeron processor with 2GB of RAM and Intel HD graphics. The notebook range also includes up to 500GB of storage, stereo speakers, a webcam, HDMI output, card reader, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity.
The NV570P houses a a choice of Celeron or third-generation Intel Core processors and up to 8GB of RAM, with Intel HD Graphics 4000 and 128MB of dedicated memory. With options for up to 750GB-capacity hard drives and M-DISC-ready DVD drives, it also has the same HDMI, webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and SD card reader as the LT41P, as well as USB 3.0 ports.
Gateway is stocking both the notebooks now, with the LT41P series starting from $330, while the NV570P starts from $450.
