ESPN Digital Media has launched its SportsCenter app for iOS and Android. The app provides sports fans a comprehensive, personalized mix of preferred ESPN content. ESPN SportsCenter is considered to be an update to ESPN’s popular ScoreCenter app.

The app’s three content pillars include Scores, News, and ESPN Now. Users can access live scores from their favorite teams and the day’s best games; the Score screen allows fans to set alerts and access expanded information for each game. The News segment of the app offers up to date headlines and features, and ESPN Now integrates contextual live scoring and social updates for personalized teams and leagues.

Its Clubhouse component organizes content based on league and team. The Favorites screen provides quick access to personally selected teams and upcoming games, and its Inbox component collects relevant alerts, scores, and video highlights for the user. Game pages have been enhanced to include new native sharing, and one-click GameCast access. The revamp also offers improved searches and loading speeds.

Available for free, ESPN SportsCenter can be downloaded from iTunes currently, and Google Play.
