espnESPN said it has removed all its content from YouTube following the announcement of YouTube Red, a for-pay subscription service that allows ad-free viewing. ESPN’s YouTube channel is now devoid of videos.

“ESPN is not currently part of the Red service. Content previously available on the free YouTube service will be available across ESPN digital properties,” said ESPN in a statement.

Disney, ESPN’s parent company, does have an agreement with Google to participate in Red, but the companies did not fully explain ESPN’s departure from the service.

YouTube Red costs $10 per month and will reach Android and iOS devices this week.
